I finally put the tutu that I made into action today. Along with my amazing savage seamless background and the DIY floor that I made. I have to sachet I am really loving this making my own props thing. It’s really amazing and makes the soul feel good. After doing the shoot I had an idea of how I wanted my images to look. After a while finally I achieved the look I was going for. So drumroll……..
This is my absolute favorite ^^^^^
In these images I love the barefeet, skin tattoo, pale pink. Just everything. When in reality….. That tutu was bright orange.
I do a random search at different times. Do you? I do this search on myself. It is fun to see what there is out there about me and how much. I did one recently that made me realize there is a TON of stuff out there on my business name. I mean Holy crap! I would not have thought. I out the search in different ways, with and without spaces, I even went to image search. It also made me realize to even put a quick watermark on my uploaded photos from my cellphone.
Now I do have this question, should I go back through pull my images down an mark them? I’m thinking so, especially the few that I have put up here without my watermark. I seen them in my search.
What have you found out about yourself during your searches?
In doing this it has made me also realize I have seriously slacked in uploading to my stock sites. It also brought to my attention that only one stock site came up when I sell on three. Hmmm….
I have finally taken the leap and turned my huge pinterest account into a business account. Now it is about me learning the ins and outs of that aspect of my journey. I feel that it is going to be a fun and interesting one to say the least. I know that there is much left to do on my account, more organization to be had. However I felt that this was the right move for me. I constantly get emails of re pins. They are honestly non stop. After some research, being a photographer and blogger, Pinterest suggests that you have a business account if you want to promote this or that. I do not want to drag with the details of everything that I have read on it. However I do highly suggest it from what I have seen so far, so much more information on your account. You do get to put your business name in which is awesome, it takes over your name name.
I have been doing some much needed work in my studio lately. Well…. Honestly I have been trashing it! I have been doing some major moving and rearranging and making backdrops.
Love that chaotic mess? I know that I do. It was so much fun. I even made tulle balls!
However my child stole them from me to make trees for his Dino Island. So I need to make more for myself.
My tulle overlay backdrop.
Here is my new backdrop storage system, as well one backdrop that I am working on.
Then today my baby came in. The beauty that I have been waiting on. My savage seamless thunder gray backdrop.
It photographs so beautifully.
This is part of my updated studio, there is more to come, most definitely, more work to do.
I am now in a new class, which is marketing, so far it is going great. I have to say my favourite part is the whole idea book and using PInterest for it. I am an avid Pinterest user as is. I went into this class with 80 boards well organized (at least I thought) I am now up to 132 boards. That is intense! I have to say my Pinterest is around 4 years old though. I began doing things that interested me personally, then I moved to adding photography related things to it. Now it is broken down to the extreme.
I beg to ask how to break it down more?
What other categories can I add?
How much do you actually use Pinterest?
For me I use it for everything. I pull ideas from it, I have tons of things that I pin that are related then I mix them.
Recently I found ways to make my own backdrops!!!! How amazing is that?? I cannot wait till it is warm and I can dive into doing painting a backdrop. Inspired by Sue Bryce.
